Disinfectants include safe drugs such as quicklime, bleaching powder, and chlorine dioxide. Oral drugs such as oxytetracycline, florfenicol, virus stars, insecticides, and immune enhancers can be used alternately to enhance fish immunity.

The most common disease of fish in winter is Saprolegniasis, which is mainly caused by fish injuries or frostbite due to low water levels when fish are combined or stocked. Therefore, in order to prevent the occurrence of this disease, try to avoid fish injuries. Be careful and meticulous when combining ponds and stocking to avoid bruises. Before stocking, you can soak the fish in 2%-3% salt water for 10-15 minutes. Pay attention to maintaining a high water level to prevent the water level from being too shallow and freezing the fish. Once the disease is found, 40% formaldehyde solution of 0.5ppm or 1-2ppm methylene blue can be sprayed throughout the pond for treatment; or 2.5-5 kg of cattail juice per mu can be boiled and mixed with 1-1.5 kg of salt and 5-10 kg of human urine, and then sprayed throughout the pond for treatment. Fish are also susceptible to parasitic diseases such as oral filaria, wheelworms, and oblique tubeworms in winter. Greenhouse-bred turtles are prone to skin rot, neck rot, furunculosis, etc. At ordinary times, we should pay attention to observation, and if a disease is found, it should be correctly diagnosed according to the symptoms, the right medicine should be prescribed, and timely treatment should be given, and fishery drugs should be used scientifically and rationally.
